Auction terms

You need a US or Canadian mobile number to sign in, and a card on file to bid. Every bid is a promise to pay that amount if you win. Quick bids wait a few seconds with an Undo button before they are sent; once a bid is placed, it cannot be withdrawn.

If you set a maximum bid, we bid for you only as much as needed to keep you in the lead, up to your maximum. If two bidders set the same maximum, the one set first wins.

The highest bid on an item when bidding on it closes wins. The auction team may extend the close, or close bidding with a countdown shown on every phone. The close shown in the app is the official close.

After the close we charge the card you saved for the items you win, plus any card fees you chose to cover, and send your receipt. If your card is declined, we text or email you a secure link to pay. Payment is due the night of the close.

Items and experiences are given by donors and described in good faith. Collect your certificate at the Advanced Sales tables, and book or redeem it as its "Winner books with" and fine print say. Your receipt shows what you paid and each item's stated value.
